Independent music publishing house based in Geneva
Our story.
Founded in Geneva in 2025, OTTO is an independent music publishing house working with songwriters and producers in Switzerland and abroad.
The publishing houseSwitzerland was missing
The idea was born in June 2025, when one of the founders returned to Switzerland after several years in Paris, where he had gone to learn the craft in order to bring it back to his own country. Switzerland is full of artists, songwriters, composers and producers capable of reaching far beyond its borders, but very few structures are built entirely to support that ambition.
Too many Swiss music professionals still have to look elsewhere to grow.
OTTO was created to help reverse that.
Two friends.
One conviction.
Behind OTTO are two friends who have known each other since childhood. One grew up playing the piano and studying at the conservatory. The other built a career as a songwriter, composer and performer, in Switzerland and abroad.
Two different paths in music, brought together by the same conviction: you support creators better when you know their reality.
The founders of OTTO are songwriters and composers themselves. They are also the first artists signed to their own house. That choice is not symbolic. It commits OTTO to applying to its founders the same contracts, the same standards and the same support we offer everyone who trusts us.
WHY OTTO
OTTO comes from a personal story. For one founder, eight was his grandfather's favourite number, a man deeply attached to music. For the other, “otto”, eight in Italian, echoes his mother tongue and his own history.
Then there is its shape. OTTO reads the same in both directions. Four letters, a palindrome, a name that travels without translation. Simple. International. Solid.
TWO PRINCIPLES
WE DON'T NEGOTIATE
Respect for people
and for art
Deeply human creation
OTTO does not publish

We want to know the people we work with. Understand their projects. Defend their works. Be there when things go well, and above all when the industry gets complicated. A house can grow without becoming distant. That is the house we want to build.
